He rose to prominence playing Kim hyde in the Australian television series home and way (2004–2007) before beginning a film career in hollywood . Christopher Hemsworth was born on 11 August 1983 in Melbourne, to Leonie (née van Os), an English teacher, and Craig Hemsworth, a social-services counsellor. He is the second of three sons, following Luke (born 1980) and preceding Liam (born 1990); both of them are also actors.
